Scorpio Rising was my "Dollhouses" collaboration with artist Mark X Farina. He wanted to explore and honor Kenneth Anger and the connection between mysticism, the art world, and Hollywood.

I was keenly interested in including an occult bookshop in this series. Like the antiquarian bookstore and gay erotica installations, occult bookstores have a unique community history in Los Angeles.
The opening of the shop included performances and taro readings.
