This piece takes up themes of truth in memory, nostalgia culture on the internet, and how we tell our own stories vs. how they are narrated for us. I chose to display the video on Youtube rather than on a device in a gallery, because, as a form, Youtube can be simultaniously private, self-implicating, and communal. 

"Don't Wake Daddy!" was presented at "Reality Sandwich" - a show curated by artist Alison Saar, as part of the Women's Art Caucasus in Los Angeles, 2018.
